The wrong way to hang a plasma screen (Unlicensed Contractor)

Written by Scott Sheppard on . Posted in Unlicensed Contractors

Video screen installation by an unlicensed person with no experience mounting a TV.

I noticed this installation in a commercial establishment today. I have many times used chain as a safety device in case of mount failure, but never as the sole means of support.

The chains are actually attached to a CRT mount that has been taken apart. The signal and power cords are holding it so the panel is “tilted”.

It is probably safe, but does it ever look terrible and the signal cables are likely to fail.

SRS Custom Integration would never hang a screen in this manner.
